Who writes the content
Clinical explanations on this site are drafted by Mash Media's editorial team for Dr. Harshvardhan Atreya's practice. Every draft names its author. Content is not attributed to Dr Atreya as author or reviewer unless he has actually written or reviewed it — the byline on each page states which applies.
What "clinically reviewed" means
A page marked clinically reviewed has been read and approved by Dr Atreya, and the date of that review is shown on the page. Pages still in draft or awaiting review are not published on the live site; on preview builds they carry a visible "Preview only" banner. Approval is recorded with a dated note in the content system, and the site's build process refuses to publish a page marked "approved" without that evidence.
Sources
Clinical statements are based on current guidance from bodies such as the US National Cancer Institute, the UK National Health Service, Cancer Research UK, the American Cancer Society, the World Health Organization, ESMO patient guides, and — for India — ICMR consensus documents and National Cancer Grid guidelines. Each page lists the sources used with the date they were accessed. Where evidence is uncertain or practice varies, the page says so.
What we do not do
We do not publish patient stories, testimonials, treatment counts, success rates, prices or outcome claims that cannot be documented. We do not use superlatives such as "best" or "No. 1" to describe the doctor. Scientific illustrations and 3D visuals on this site are conceptual and do not represent real patients, test results or facilities.
Dates
Each clinical page shows when it was published and when it was last clinically reviewed. Articles migrated from the previous website (cancereducationnetwork.com) carry their original publication date and author line, and are marked as not yet re-reviewed until that review happens.
Videos
Videos are embedded from Dr Atreya's official YouTube channel, Cancer Explained Clearly (@DrAtreyaCEN). Written summaries on watch pages are drafts until reviewed. Transcripts are published only when they have been checked against the video.
Corrections
If you believe something on this site is wrong or out of date, contact us through the contact page. Corrections to clinical content are made after review and the "last reviewed" date is updated.
Advertising and independence
This site carries no advertising. It is the professional website of an individual doctor and is not operated by or on behalf of Medanta; the hospital affiliation is stated because consultations take place there.
